Gift of Learning

Provides access to a free online portal that offers learning, book abstracts, webinars, and written materials to develop, train, and broaden the skills of the nonprofit professional.

HR Pro Bono Corps

Matches Human Resource professionals with nonprofits in need of coaching or project-based consulting to address a specific talent management project or need.

Strategic Partnership Donates Cornerstone’s leading talent management software and services to a select number of nonprofits annually to help organizations invest in and train their employees.

Gift of Learning

The CSOD Foundation established the Gift of Learning program (GOL) to address the critical need for professional development in the nonprofit world. The GOL leverages CSOD’s state-of-the-art learning technology to create an online career development tool that provides nonprofit staff and volunteers with access to a collection of e-learning and other training resources at no cost. Selected nonprofits can choose up to five employees to access this online library for three months.

The GOL provides customized curriculum to support the most common job families in the sector:

  • Volunteer Management
  • Program Management

HR Pro Bono Corps

CSOD Foundation’s HR Pro Bono Corps is a unique and effective way to bring much-needed human capital management expertise to the nonprofit sector at no cost. Through this program, we recruit and match HR professionals with nonprofits in need of coaching or project-based consulting to address a specific talent management challenge. This HR nonprofit consulting is available to support three key areas of talent management:

Performance Management

  • Do you need assistance identifying competencies for your leadership team?
  • Is your org in need of best practices for developing a SMART goal framework?
  • Does your performance review process need updating?

Learning Management

  • Are you looking for best practices on how to develop a blended learning strategy?
  • Are your training programs effective?
  • Do you need help developing a communication strategy to ensure the successful roll out of your new training program?

Succession Management

  • Do you need assistance building a succession planning strategy to ensure a continuity of leadership for all critical positions?
  • Can you benefit from expert advice on how to conduct an effective talent review?

Our Foundation team carefully screens all nonprofits and volunteers to ensure that matches are made on the basis of skills, interests, and organizational needs.

Added Bonus: HRCI Recertification

Are you considering recertification for your PHR or SPHR credential? Qualify for up to 5 recertification credits per year from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) when you volunteer your time with the HR Pro Bono Corps and complete a project-based consulting assignment with a participating nonprofit organization in need. Strategic Partnership

Every year, the Foundation invites nonprofits from around the world to apply to receive our talent management software at no cost. To be considered for this nonprofit technology grant, organizations must align with one of the Foundation’s three focus areas: education, workforce development, or disaster relief. Those nonprofits that are chosen as Strategic Partners are awarded a one-year contract under which they receive Cornerstone’s software and consulting services at no cost. At the conclusion of this one-year contract, strategic partners receive significant discounts on software and services.
