As Executive Director of the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, Julie Brandt is responsible for developing and driving the growth, reach, and sustainability of the Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Brandt advised companies and individuals on their philanthropic, community relations and public affairs strategies. These clients – which included organizations such as Catholic Healthcare West, Nehemiah Corporation of America, Priority Ventures, The Roland & Dawn Arnall Foundation, Year Up, and the Mayor's Office of Workforce & Economic Development-- varied in purpose from sustainable carwashes and health care providers, to non-profits that provide home ownership assistance and job training for urban youth.
Previously, she served for three years as the SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Affairs for ACC Capital Holdings, a privately-held national financial services company. In this role, she oversaw all philanthropic and communications efforts across the country, including charitable giving, media outreach, advocacy efforts, and partnerships. Prior to joining ACC, Julie was Director of the Mayor's Small Business Commission and Deputy Director of Policy for the Mayor's Office of Economic Development in San Francisco. During her service, she created policies and programs aimed at attracting industry and revitalizing communities. Her professional experience has also included managing community and government relations for Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and for Assemblyman John Burton (D-San Francisco). Ms. Brandt holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University, is a Wexner Fellow and a graduate of the Coro Foundation's Fellowship Program. She currently serves on the board of Homeaid as well as the John Burton Foundation for Children without Homes. She is also a former commissioner for the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women and a past member of the Physical Therapy Board of California.
As the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Maureen McLaren is responsible for interfacing with all Cornerstone OnDemand's clients and partners to engage them in opportunities that will have significant positive impact on the organizations served through the Foundation. Ms McLaren also manages the Foundation's Strategic Initiatives in collaboration with Cornerstone's Strategic Partners and clients. Since 2005, Ms McLaren has served as a Senior Strategic Account Manager, with the exception of a one-year "sabbatical" at McKinsey & Co. where she helped establish their internal e-learning system/capability. During her time at Cornerstone, Ms McLaren has helped grow and retain business with some of Cornerstone's largest and longest legacy clients. She assisted with the codification of the company's best practices and was an integral part in building Cornerstone's Client Success Framework.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Ms McLaren was an Account Manager and a Project Manager at DigitalThink (acquired by Convergys Corporation) where she worked with clients to build and develop corporate-wide learning solutions. Maureen began her career as a public high school social studies teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area and her passion for education and technology has driven her career choices ever since. Ms McLaren holds a Bachelors degree in American Studies with a specialization in Race and Ethnicity and a Masters in Education from Stanford University. While in the Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP), she also completed her California Secondary Teaching Credential with a specialization in Cross-Cultural Linguistic and Academic Development (CLAD) Certification to be able to more effectively teach English Language Learners.
Ms. McLaren recently relocated to the Santa Monica headquarters of Cornerstone OnDemand after a seven year stint in New York City, and as a native Southern Californian, is happy to back in the sunshine and the surf.
As the Director of Partnerships and Programs for the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, Alexis Denny is responsible for building and supporting the Foundation’s global network of non-profit partners. Alexis also develops and oversees the foundation programs, including managing the HR Pro Bono Corps and the Gift of Learning.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Alexis worked in Public Affairs for the Auto Club of Southern California, where she oversaw community education and traffic safety initiatives, including launching high profile events and educational campaigns to raise awareness of issues such as senior mobility, teen driving and passenger safety.
Previously, Alexis served as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for ACC Capital Holdings, a privately-held national financial services company, where she managed company wide charitable giving initiatives and volunteer programs. Additionally, she created a national financial literacy and goal-setting curriculum for elementary students, establishing strategic partnerships with such national organizations as Franklin Covey, Major League Baseball and the Hands On Network.
Ms. Denny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from University of California, San Diego and a Masters in Public Health from California State University, Fullerton. Alexis currently serves on the board of an arts-based non-profit and is an active mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
In her role as Director of Services, Amy is responsible for optimizing the client experience and maximizing client success by consultatively working to develop and apply the right mix of products and services.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Amy served as an Implementation Consultant for Cornerstone OnDemand, working closely with clients of all sizes and industries to ensure successful deployments of the Cornerstone software suite. Before coming onboard at Cornerstone, Amy was a Learning and Performance Consultant at Convergys Learning Solutions and DigitalThink, respectively, working with clients to design comprehensive e-learning solutions.
Amy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University and a Master’s Degree in Learning, Design & Technology from Stanford University. She is a supporter of many causes, specifically in support of women, education, and hunger.
